About DAVID BRANIGAN | OCEANSPORT


David Branigan is a marine and sailing photographer journalist based in Dun Laoghaire, Ireland. Services include:

- Consultancy services.

He has photographed subjects as diverse as traditional salmon fishing to luxury super-yachts and in locations around the world from Cape Horn to Cape Rienga.

Sailing and yacht racing is a favourite subject and in particular, the Volvo Ocean Race (formerly the Whitbread Race) is a regular and he has been a photographer for five events since 1989.

Commercial clients have varied from multi-national corporations to government agencies as well as the SME sector and private clients for a range of applications including advertising, press and publicity, websites, POS, event displays, AV presentations, publications and more.

As well as photography, David Branigan contributes to The Irish Times, Irish Independent and Irish Examiner as a sailing journalist.

A volunteer lifeboat coxswain with the RNLI, he also acts as an official spokesperson and press officer at Dun Laoghaire with responsibility for media liaison and comment during major incidents as well as general publicity events.
