We wish to thank Belvedere College, for delivering Irish Water Safety’s, Junior Aquatics Water Programme (JAWS), a national water safety programme that is now a voluntary component of the secondary school curriculum. 158 course participants were certified in water safety lifesaving skills and we are hopeful that many more secondary schools around the country will follow Belvedere College’s example so that students leave school with skills that will keep them safe from drowning.
